Ok, I'll break the ice with the adult beginners section, since that's officially my category.
My concern is this... and has been since I started. Beginning as an adult seems awkward, mostly because of the age difference. In fact, my teacher is younger than me with more experience.
Well, the real question is... what should I be doing in order to be progressing fast enough as an adult? Are there limitations to starting when you are older with being able to learn? Sometimes, I feel like the method / book I use moves to slow, and other times, I just don't get it!
What's the advice for the approach towards adult beginners?

What is really going to make a difference in how fast you progress and what you learn is how dedicated you are to the craft and how much you practice. It doesn't matter if you are an adult or child, that is the main key to really learning music effectively.
